The Association of Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP) is a member of the Convention of National Societies of Electrical Engineers of Europe EUREL, closely cooperating with the bodies of European Commission. Thanks to that SEP, receives an amount of source information on the subject of operation of European Union in the area of science and technology. SEP cooperates with numerous foreign engineering associations. With some of these associations the cooperation is based on concluded agreements: The Institution of Electrical Engineers IEE (Gr. Britain), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers IEEE (USA) , Société des Electriciens et des Electroniciens SEE (France), Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik, Informationtechnik VDE (Germany), Union of Electronics, Electrotechnics and Telecommunication NTSE (Bulgaria). In cooperation with SEP the activity is carried on by Polish Sections IEE, IEEE and SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering). The international activity of SEP is also conducted through the Polish Committees of SEP.
Polish Committee of CAMAC SEP: The Committee is active by statues in the fields of nuclear science electronics and information technology. As a part of these directions the Committee concentrates on standardization problems of electrical engineering in nuclear reactor equipment. It coordinates with ESONE committee (European Studies in Norms for Electronics) and ISO (IEC-JTCA) Informatics in the part concerning SC26 & microprocessor systems, SC-25 & interfaces.
Polish Committee for Electrochemical Anti-Corrosion Protection SEP: It is the purpose of the Committee to carry out tasks connected with development of domestic science and technology in the field of electrochemical protection against corrosion of subterranean and submerged metal structures. It organizes seminars as well as scientific and technical conferences, and actively participates in the process of standardization in this field of electrostatics. It maintains contacts with NACE International, Corrosion Society & the largest Society in the world dealing with the problems of corrosion.
Polish Committee of Electrostatics SEP: The committee is concerned with the protection against static electricity as well as with industrial applications of static electricity. It carries on training and standardization activities, supports and conducts scientific research works in the field of electrostatics. The Committee also represents SEP in an international organization Working Party of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering.
Polish Committee for Electroheat SEP & SITPH: The Committee is active within the framework of two associations: Association of Polish Electrical Engineers and Association of Engineers and Technicians of Steel Industry. It undertakes activities aimed at development and use of science and technology in the field of electrothermics and related areas. It initiates scientific and technical activity and innovation activity in the fields of electro-technology, electrothermics and electrochemical equipment. It cooperates with the International Union for Electricity Application - UIE. It also actively takes part in creation of national and international standards.
Polish Committee for Biomedical Engineering SEP: The Committee is an interdisciplinary group of specialists & engineers and physicians representing various fields of science, technology and medicine. It actively encompasses questions in the field of medical technology and actual problems, and directions of development in medical engineering. It maintains international cooperation in the field of biomedical engineering in cooperation with the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE).
Polish Committee for Electrotechnical Materials SEP: The task of the Committee is the integration and mobilization of specialists in the field of electrotechnology and metrology. It provides a platform of cooperation for representatives of science and industry. It organizes conferences, seminars initiates new research directions and cooperates in editing of standards in electrotechnology. It cooperates with foreign associations: IEEE (Electrical Insulation) and Conférence Internationale des Grandes Réseaux Electriques a Haute Tension (CIGRE).
Polish Committee for Lightning Protection SEP: The Committee deals with scientific research on lighting, lightning dangers for building structures and their protection. Particular care is given to the objects with equipment sensitive to the lightning electromagnetic impulses (LEMP) and objects endangered by fire and explosion. It cooperates with related committees in many countries, particularly as a part of International Conference on Lightning Protection (ICLP) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Polish Committee for Protection against Electrical Dangers SEP: The activities of the Committee concentrates on scientific and technical problems, organizational and economic issues in the field of protection against electrical dangers and on works concerning networks and power generating electro-equipment. It organizes and co-organizes many scientific conferences in the field. It represents SEP in the International Social Security Association (ISSA).
Polish Committee for Optoelectronics SEP: The main objective is the activity of integration of the fast growing and promising fields of optoelectronics and photonics. It groups specialists from various scientific and industrial institutions. It encompasses the laser, fiber optics and infrared technologies. The Committee cooperates with the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), the European Optical Society (EOS) and the European Society EUROTHERM.
Polish National Committee on Illumination SEP: The Committee is an organizational unit of SEP specializing in lighting technology. It combines persons being renown specialists in the widely understood lighting engineering being active professionally in this field, and more widely for optical radiation technology which includes, besides visible radiation, also ultraviolet and infrared radiations. It is one of the national committees of the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage & CIE, the unique international organization grouping specialists concerned with the lighting technology.
Polish Committee on Electrical Terminology SEP: The Committee was established for elaborating, evaluating and bringing order into the Polish language terminology of widely understood electrical field in Poland and representing the issues of Polish electrical terminology abroad. It groups specialists in the area of scientific technical terminology, language scientists and representatives of interested institutions. It cooperates with IEC - International Electrotechnical Commission, Technical Committee Terminology No.1, takes part in international conferences and congresses relating to vocabulary and methodology of terminological activities.
